1959 F100 whit Chevy 350 From Finland

Hello from Finland.

I have bought the car recently. It came From San Jose California. Its drivable, but needs work.
I put some pics here to show hopefully some progress at my build. I have been building old Euro Fords previously, as they are more common here. Over the years i have also had some US cars, but this is my first US Ford.


Someone have chanced the front frame from Camaro maybe? Not sure, i have to find that out for sure before i can buy parts for the front end. Engine is 350 chevy whit 400 gearbox.
Biggest problem is that the front wheels have been moved too front, and they rub on the fenders when turning. Engine have been located as far back as it can be whitout cutting the firewall. Conversion have been done quite nicely (exept front tyre location) and I dont want to cut the frame and chop the firewall. It looks a bit stupid now, but i have plans for the front fenders to make them look better. Hopefully final result is something that only expert can point out.

I have started to work on it now:

I took the rear bumper and tow bar out because i think it looks better whitout rear bumper. I also remove those led rear lights that was glued under the original lights.



Tailgate is closed whit a piece of rope at the moment. I need to source some parts for that.

Today i started to work on the interior. I took those BMW seats out and removed all iterior trim.



Floor is almost rust free. There is some nasty undercoating sprayed at the floor that need to be cleaned out.
I want to put bench seat back on it, so i can take my wife and our 3 years old son whit me when i go cruising.

Im not quite sure how this is going to look when its done. Not sure of the paint, wheels, tyres or the stance at this moment. Im not sure either do i take it all apart, or should i just fix those things that needs work before it can be driven.

I went to the garage today and decided that i take it all apart.
Every body panel is going to soda blast, and those areas that have rust will be sandblasted. Cab and bed will also be soda blasted.
Frame will probably be cut and shortened, so the front wheels will go to the original place. Engine will be moved slightly front to avoid cutting the firewall.

I look forward to seeing this progress. My 59's wheels sit a little more forward in the front because I clipped it with a volare but when I raise the front back up they'll center more. Right now the torsion bars are dumped at the max with engine weight in..
