Pic I snapped when I got the tires and wheels...I didnt have the front axle in or the lift springs at this point..
Now that I've figured out how to post pictures on this forum I will have to take some more!

I'm not a big fan of the facebook so I don't have an account...I will continue to post pics on the forum here as I make some progress! Glad I found a group that shares my passion for these old trucks!

A lot of people make up a name, Like Joes Garage just to join the group. It's a easy way not to be FB as yourself. Bill

It's been awhile since I've been here, but wanted to keep yall updated with the progress.  This pic here is of the new front leaf spring mount i had to make to use the 79 F350 lift springs.  You can see the old monting hole about 3 inches to the rear.  Ford used basically the same style mount,  I had a heck of a time drilling the frame with a bi-metal hole saw!! Burnt up my drill in the process

New u-bolts finally secured that locked Dana 60 to the springs, so I had to mock up the Iroks to check for clearance.

59 F-100/350 4x4 Empty Updates Cont.

While the trans was out for a trip to the rebuild shop, I had good access to the steering box. I pulled the old manual box and installed the new power unit from Classic Performance Products. Kit comes with everything you need and bolts right in the 57-60 using the factory mounting holes. just have to cut the factory steering shaft and reuse it in the rag joint setup. Just ordered some supplies from WFO concepts to build my own drag link (Using the dana 60 forced me to have to change the drag link set up). Also with the trans out, frame rails are getting cleaned and painted, and new stainless steel brake lines are being ran. Gonna be a busy winter!
