1960 F-100
EDIT: For some reason my pictures are getting cut off but you get the idea.
I've been building this truck over the past year or so and I'm getting towards the end of the project. This is where I started:
It ran(barely) and had a 223 with a 3spd trans. The body is in pretty good shape with very minor rust. The paint is pretty faded but has a cool patina look. I plan on leaving it that way for now.
I had my axle dropped 4" by Sid and removed one spring in the front. In the rear, I flipped the axle and c-notched and boxed the frame.
For power I decided to go with a 460 and a C6 trans. Here I am mocking up the engine/trans fitment. I am using tubular engine/trans crossmembers from CPP.
I rebuilt the engine using a mild Lunati Voodoo Cam kit, Edelbrock Performer intake, and March serpentine pulleys. I'm also using coated Sanderson headers that only required a little frame notching.
This is how it sits now. I found some ford truck steel wheels and had them powdercoated and put on some bias ply wide whites. I am eliminating the vent windows for one piece door glass and will be painting the inside of the cab. I bought a new bumper and found a NOS upper grille but I am looking for a better lower grille. It looks road worthy but I've still got to wire it, and finish up a lot of loose ends.
