57 F100 in Oz
Hi all,
I from australia and was lucky enough to score a couple of 57 f600's. My intentions are to build a custom (hotrod as us aussies say). I'm not using the original chassis as it it easier to use a holden onetonner chassis (GM utility chassis), some say it isn't the right thing to use ford and holden parts to build a car but is seen alot over here.
Here are some pics for you all
On the original chassis
So far a mate and i have replaced the chassis with a WB ute chassis, with minor modifications we got the cab to sit right on the chassis.
New chassis
Modifing cab to fit the chassis
Cab sitting on new chassis
The cab isn't sitting properly and was only sat on there to transport but you kind of get the picture.
Here is the other one i have that is in better condition although the roof is badly rusted. So i'll be using the roof and some other parts off the red one to make one good pickup.
Enjoy!

G'day Rage, looks like you got some work ahead of you, I know because mine was badly rusted as I found out when I got the body sand blasted and it came back looking like swiss cheese.
Are you going to make the lip around the front wheel arch's look like the F100 with the wider flat section? Theres nothing wrong with using the WB chassis either, I used HZ front clip and grafted it in.
You can get new parts from Cusso Bill in NSW too, hes a good price.
Cheers Ash in Tassie

Hey Ash,
Yeah mate alot of work ahead of me.. I was lucky enough to score a full f100 front end (gaurds, bonnet, grille and front apron) of a bloke that was wrecking one, so i'll be using the gaurds thats for sure.
Thanks for the heads up on the on Cusso Bill too. Do you have a number or website for this?

Cusso Bills #
Rage, Cusso Bills # is (02) 4982 6333. He got me all the inside handles, knobs, screws, winders, glovebox liner, bump rubbers, external door locks and some window and door rubbers for around $1100, they all came from Dennis Carpenter in the US. The only screws he couldnt get are the ones on the inside door skin that holds the window winder mech and door handle mech parts, the visible ones, they are a very hard to find screw in Aus but I finally got some at our local nut n bolt place, nice shiny SS ones, if you need some and cant find them let me know and I will get them for you.
I am after some front indicator sockets if you have any spare ones? The front of my 57 was changed to suit the XR/XT Falcon bumper but I am putting it back to origional. Let me know if you have any.
Good luck and keep the pics coming.
Cheers Ash
